The Parker E-ACT Academy encourages a culture of aspirational targets, quality of provision and personalised learning.
Parker E-ACT Academy believes in high aspirations and high expectations, underpinned by an ethos based on respect; of self, of others, of learning and progress of the environment, both within school and beyond. The academy is passionate about its responsibility to serve and develop local children academically, personally and socially, all to the benefit of the community.
Personalised learning ensures that no child is overlooked or left behind with effective strategies to close attainment gaps. The academy’s focus on standards ensures all students make progress across all areas of the curriculum.
The Parker curriculum is designed to address the needs of all students and to ensure that each child makes “above expected” progress against national targets. To support this, the academy sets highly aspirational targets to promote progress.
The academy is keen to develop skills and abilities both in and beyond the school curriculum. A wide range of after school clubs and activities are on offer, including rowing, rugby, badminton, crafts, choir and trivial pursuit challenge. The academy is also a Licenced Centre of the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award, with many students achieving the celebrated Gold Award.
The sixth form continues to grow and offers a highly personalised approach to learning and development, and the proven track record of achievement in academic subjects, Languages and Art means the Academy favourably compares to other local providers.
