Barry Bainbridge has worked in education for more than 40 years, serving for 20 years as a Headteacher.  

He co-wrote and directed a schools-led Education Action Zone.

He went on to become an independent consultant for the Innovation Unit, the National College of School Leadership, the Department for Education, and Local Authorities and schools across the country.

Barry is currently the Director of the Consortium of All-Through Schooling (CATS) Ltd, which has established a national reputation and brought all-through learning into national policy making.

Barry is Chair of Governors for E-ACT’s Dartmouth Academy, and continues to work for the National College.
