Crest Boys
In September 2009 John Kelly Boys’ School became The Crest Boys' Academy reflecting a change of status and aspiration. Continuing with their technology focus, the academy added mathematics as a main specialism.
These two specialisms underpin academic and personal improvement across the curriculum with a focus on the development of numeracy and literacy, closely adapted to meet individual needs. Links between mathematics, technology and other curriculum subjects have been made in order to reinforce knowledge, skills and understanding.
In becoming an academy they have been able to secure considerable extra funding to invest in new facilities and resources. These are exciting times for The Crest Boys’ Academy and they anticipate continuing their progress to provide an even higher quality education for all of their students.
