Leeds West Academy is a new place for learning serving the communities in the west of the city with high ambitions for their learners. The academy has a distinctive offer for students and the community, based on the core principles of striving for excellence, valuing success in every endeavour, and creating an environment where learning can flourish.
At Leeds West Academy they place the learner at the heart of everything they do. Traditional values underpin their aspirations for students as they are a learning community which values respect, tolerance and hard work. On these foundations they are dynamic and forward-thinking, with features which have been described as innovative and inspirational. In September 2011 they will be opening in their brand new £30m building, which is being creatively designed to be an asset to the whole community.
