Schools should reflect the wishes of parents and the community. It is only right that parents and teachers get a greater say in where the schools are established and what they offer.
SUPPORTING FREE SCHOOLS
To help make your Free School a reality, E-ACT is keen to work with parent promoters, community and teacher groups, who have the ambition and drive to establish a new Free School.

WHERE CAN WE CREATE A FREE SCHOOL?
Most buildings can be cheaply and effectively converted into a high quality education provision. A flexible approach provides Free Schools with the ability to open in the right areas, where there currently isn’t an adequate offer. Offices and other business accommodation all offer opportunities for Free Schools.
Developing existing buildings has been successful in other countries and this allows parent-led, professionally sponsored Free Schools to open as soon as plans are finalised, cutting through red tape and finding the best locations.
