Jul 22, 2009
A new principal has been appointed to lead the Crest Boys’ Academy when it opens in September, replacing John Kelly Boys’ Technology College.
EACT (Edutrust Academies Charitable Trust), which sponsors the new academy in Brent, has appointed Keith Miller.
Mr Miller – who is currently a consultant Headteacher at Parkwood High School in Sheffield - has extensive experience leading, managing and teaching in six challenging inner-city schools.
The 48-year-old started his career as a design and technology teacher before moving to senior leadership roles in four London comprehensive schools.
Sir Bruce Liddington, Director General of EACT, said: “I’m delighted that Keith will be taking up this exciting role in September. The Crest Boys’ Academy is full of potential and his leadership will add significantly to the academy’s future direction and success.”
Mr Miller, who lives in Ealing, west London, said: “I’m relishing the challenge. We will be taking the academy into a new era, with plans for a new building and the opportunity to really make a difference and transform opportunities for our students.”
