E-ACT procures a wide-range of goods, works and services every year, and we are committed to ensuring value for money through our procurement activity and contract management.
Trust procurement regulations require all contracts valued at £25k or more to be tendered using its preferred e-tendering system Delta e-Sourcing. We advertise our contract opportunities to all suppliers registered on the system through Delta, and it is free for suppliers to register on the system.
EU procurement directives
As a publicly funded body and in accordance with EU regulations, E-ACT procurements which exceed the EU thresholds must be advertised in OJEU, and the tender process must comply with EU procurement directives. Where there are existing frameworks that meet our needs we may choose to utilise them if it is deemed the best value approach.
E-ACT multi-academy trust
Procurement activities must also comply with E-ACT’s own procurement rules, financial manual and company memorandum of articles. E-ACT is an exempt charity under the Charity Act 2011. It was created under the Academies Act 2010 and it is overseen by the Secretary of State for Education. E-ACT is a company limited by guarantee registered under company number 06526376.
