Our pupils have been busy sharing their expert tips and advice online.

We also spoke to Michelle, a pupil at Hareclive E-ACT Academy, about how she has been looking after her mental health during lockdown.

‘Everyone’s mental health is different and everyone experiences different feelings, and that’s OK. It’s important to look after your mental health by taking regular exercise, getting daily fresh air and eating healthy snacks. It’s really important to talk to someone you trust if you are struggling. If my friends were ever having a bad day I would be there to listen and encourage them to talk to an adult.

We have been sent lots of useful things to do at home, and I have practiced the breathing exercises that are on our website and also made a worry box. I decorated a box and whenever something is worrying me I write it down and put it in the box. It helps me to write them down and makes me feel better about things.’
