E-ACT City Heights Academy welcomed a new headteacher at the start of the new school year in September.
We are very delighted to welcome Mr Charles to our E-ACT family, and of course the academy. We are keen to help him realise his vision of a school that not only delivers excellent pastoral care and great extracurricular opportunities, but one that also focuses on excellent academic outcomes. We are looking forward to him showing the local community, and E-ACT, just what he can do!
Mr Charles previously worked as a Vice Principal at Haberdashers’ Academies Trust South and completed his Postgraduate certificate in education at Goldsmiths, University of London. He previously completed his Bachelors Degrees in Chemistry and Zoology at the University of the West Indies.
He would like to move the academy in a fresh, new direction that is centred on academic achievement and ensuring students have solid career paths ahead of them.
As always, the academy will be delivering an enriched curriculum through high quality teaching and Mr Charles is keen to share his plans with the local community.
“I am excited to be the new Head teacher and would like to thank E-ACT, pupils and staff for the warm welcome and the support this far. My vision is to transform the lives of the young people and to create a school community focused on learning, high aspirations and standards – allowing the absolute best from and for pupils and staff every single day.”
