Our academy

A happy, supportive primary academy in Walsall. Our motto is ‘inspire to achieve’ and this underpins all that we do from Nursery to Year 6.

Located just eight miles from Birmingham and six miles from Wolverhampton, Walsall is home to two E-ACT academies in Reedswood E-ACT Academy and West Walsall E-ACT Academy.

The role

We are seeking to appoint an outstanding HLTA who has the vision and drive of Reedswood E-ACT Primary Academy. Previous knowledge of working in Early years would be an advantage.

They should hold a minimum qualification of Level 3, have a proven track record of 1 to 1 support, and good IT skills.

We are looking for ideally a Level 5 qualified HLTA to join the team at Reedswood.

The successful applicant will have a leadership responsibility and will line manage a team of LSA’s.

We are open to individual strengths and areas of responsibility you are able to offer our team.

To complement the professional work of teachers by taking responsibility for agreed learning activities under an agreed system of supervision.  This may involve planning, preparing and delivering learning activities for individuals/groups or short term for whole classes and monitoring pupils and assessing , recording and reporting on pupils achievement, progress and development.

Responsible for the management and development of a specialist area within the school and/or management of other teaching assistant, including allocation and monitoring of work, appraisal and training.
